What to Check Before Buying an Animal 3D Model

Skeleton Hierarchy & Bone Count

A quadruped rig should have a clear spine chain (pelvis → spine → neck → head), four symmetric leg chains (thigh → shin → foot → toe), and optionally a tail chain. Unreal's Chaos Physics and Unity's Animator both expect clean parent-child bone relationships.
