What to Check Before Buying a Vehicle 3D Model

Topology & Edge Flow

Clean quad-dominant topology deforms correctly when animated (suspension travel, door opening) and subdivides without pinching. Open the Proofly 3D viewer, enable Wireframe mode, and look for uniform edge loops around wheel arches and body contours. Triangulated exports are fine for game engines but will not subdivide smoothly in Blender or Houdini.

Hierarchy & Naming

A drivable car needs a clear hierarchy: Body → Wheel_FL, Wheel_FR, Wheel_RL, Wheel_RR. Doors, hoods, and trunks should be separate child objects with correct pivot points at the hinge axis.
