Most printed hamster feeders jam — the opening is too small and granular feed arches over it. HammyBowl's discharge is 68 × 34 mm: the short side is more than twice the length of a sunflower seed, which is the threshold where flow stops being reliable. The sill is flush with the hopper floor (no lip to climb), the back of the hopper is a 45° self-draining scoop, and the tray is a rising slope rather than a dish, so the animal takes food off a 26 mm rim instead of climbing in.
